Fisher Joins United Way’s 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge
大发体育登录 st. john fisher college has formally joined the united way’s 21-day equity challenge, an effort to develop a deeper understanding of how inequity and racism affect individuals and the community. fisher is among more than 100 organizations participating in the challenge, which runs from friday, oct. 23 through friday, nov. 20.
“the 21-day equity challenge is a wonderful opportunity for members of the fisher community to commit to learning more about issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion,” said dr. gerard j. rooney, president of the college. “i am grateful to the united way and their partners for providing us with resources that can expand our knowledge and foster new ideas on how we as a community can be allies and advocates in this deeply critical work.”
throughout the challenge, participating organizations and individuals will receive an email each weekday with links to recommended articles, videos, podcasts, and reflections that explore topics including understanding bias, levels of racism, housing inequities, building a race equity culture, and more.
